Through the generous support of Stephen A Schwarzman, an extensive programme of landscape development has been planned for the new grounds at the Goodwood Art Foundation. They will be named Schwarzman Gardens and will also be home to the Western Amphitheatre which provides a multi-use space for open-air performances during the summer programme.
Dan Pearson’s intuitive and thoughtfully crafted landscape, reflecting the distinct character of the South Downs, will provide a unique setting in which to appreciate the inspiring fusion of art and nature.
It will, through the nature of the design and the planting, offer visitors twenty-four seasonal moments to throw new light on both landscape and artworks as the year progresses.
