Our 70-acre landscape, featuring wooded glades, ancient woodland and wildflower meadows, has been reimagined by landscape designer Dan Pearson. His intuitive planting and design, incorporating the distinct character of our South Downs location, provides a unique setting in which to appreciate an inspiring fusion of art and nature.

The design of the space celebrates the seasons, with carefully considered planting that evolves as the year passes, providing vibrant explosions of colour and rich sensory experiences.

Cultivation meets curation

The landscape design and art programme have been planned in tandem, encouraging visitors to think about the connections between art, creativity and the environment.

Exploration and experience

From ancient woodland to wildflower meadows, visitors can explore a range of different environments, enjoying moments of solace, reflection and discovery wherever they go.

It will, through the nature of the design and the planting, offer visitors twenty-four seasonal moments to throw new light on both landscape and artworks as the year progresses.
